Inspired by listening to Jules Verne’s “Around the world in eighty days” on audible over the summer holidays, I decided to do a whistle stop tour of the world over this next year, using picture books (they take less time to read than chapter books), an atlas, a globe, puzzles, games and activity sheets.
Below are a sample of the resources I collected together to begin our journey. I’ve done similar projects with the boys before, so it just involved a rummage through our shelves.
The girls each made passports for themselves and a favourite cuddly toy. We fastened our seatbelts and headed off to North America for six weeks.
