Just had to write as it’s “Three Kings Day”, or Epiphany. This is the day when, many people remember the visit of the three wise men to see Jesus, bringing their gifts. When I was a child I remember the wise men being added to the crib at church on this day. So, today we made some crowns, had a hunt for gold stars, and then for a present for each child, which I keep back from Christmas. I read the story from the Bible to the girls, and a really interesting book about the Star of Bethlehem to the boys. This is traditionally when people take their decorations down, but our tree looks so pretty, we can never bring ourselves to do so, and so it stays on cheering up our front room well into January!
